At this time most Veterans wait over 365 days for a response on their disability claims. Some Veterans even pass away before a response on their claim comes in. I know the Secretary of Veterans Affairs says he is working on the backlog, but, this has been for a couple years and nothing is happening.
Most Veterans cannot work and need the disability income to help them live and if it takes over 365 days to get a claim processed a Veteran and his/her family could end up homeless and this adds a second issue.
