Work to change the term limits set forth by the 22nd amendment.

A two term limit only invites our leaders to political mildness and pandering to the people who did not get them elected in the first place. Rather than a limit of two four-year terms, the presidency should be held to a limit of one six-year term. Without having to worry about elections, our leaders could push harder to get done the things they were elected to do, and do those things with the knowledge that they have two more years to enact change on subjects that just become more complicated and difficult as the years pass.
