We petition The Obama Administration, in Partnership with Congress; to create a National Universal Health Insurance for Veterans. This insurance would be similar to Medicare with no copays or deductibles.
Veterans would no longer be required to exclusively use VA facilities for their healthcare needs, and could use local private, or public healthcare facilities. We believe this would also improve the VA hospitals by introducing competition into the way we care for our Veterans.
This would also allow private doctors, and hospitals the opportunity to shoulder some of the public responsibility and serve their nation by accepting such an insurance on a voluntary basis. In the same way many veterans volunteered their lives for them.
