Work with Congress and the Senate to greatly simplify or replace the U.S. income tax to relieve the compliance burden.

Created by N.N. on December 20, 2013

Taxes are the obligation of citizens and residents of the United States. However, the U.S. income tax is unnecessarily complex. Almost no individual should have to pay a third-party to assist them in meeting their obligation, but the current system compels countless taxpayers into paying for tax preparation services and to devote innumerable lost hours in collecting and organizing paperwork required to complete a return. Moreover, the system offers "deductions" and "credits" to which some taxpayers may be entitled, but do not claim out of ignorance while inducing most people subject to withholding to deduct more from their income than they will owe just to loan it interest-free to the government. The tax code and IRS enforcement would demand consumer protection if inflicted by business.
