We the People are disgusted that a bill preventing the sale of dog and cat meat in Pennsylvania did not pass. We demand that the butchering of dogs and cats for meat and the sale of dog and cat meat in the United States be banned outright in all 50 states.
As a country that has adoption agencies for cats and dogs and health insurance for cats and dogs, as a country that openly acknowledges them as "Man's best friend", we should not shy away from protecting them.
We demand that President Obama work with Congress to accomplish this. This goes beyond party lines. Dogs and cats have been saving human lives for years, there are even canine police officers. They deserve at least this much protection.
