Gov. Alejandro García Padilla’s Administration has been a failure and is dangerous to the People of Puerto Rico. Under the circumstances, the only real option available is for Congress to take charge and name a Financial Control Board; with plenipotentiary powers over the government and the finance of the state. This, for as long as it’s needed, in order to change the disastrous course taken by the present administration; which has put in risk the future of Puerto Rico.
The President of the United States should work in unison with Congress, in designing a coherent and effective plan to manage the public and financial affairs of Puerto Rico, before Gov. García Padilla et al., ends destroying the Island. Under Art. IV, § 3 of the U.S. Constitution, Congress has the power to intervene.
