Work with Congress to help prevent the sequester cuts from adversely affecting hundreds of programs and the economy.

If the sequester cuts take effect without action from Congress, hundreds of programs that are important for national defense, education, public health, scientific research, parks and recreation and many other areas will receive significant and hindering automatic cuts. Tell Congress that the American people will not accept no action. Allowing automatic across the board cuts to take effect is unacceptable. Preserve thousands of jobs and hundreds of programs by changing the direction of the budget cuts to balance the budget in a way that helps make the United Sates stronger.
