The International Linear Collider (ILC) is a recently-proposed 20-mile long particle collider, 30% larger and even more powerful than the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) hosted at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. Hosting the ILC in the United States of America will bring jobs, research, and scientific goodwill. The LHC last year announced the discovery of the Higgs Boson, the so-called "God Particle", and the ILC, when built, should help physicists unravel even further the mechanisms by which our universe operates.
