work with congress to pass legislation that requires a minimum solar power installation for all new homes by 2017.

Created by C.K. on March 14, 2013

As the US moves forward out of the recession, lets start using our Government as a stronger tool for change. Local and state Governments mandate all manner of code and law to increase safety and energy efficiency in homes. Why can't we just start with this same idea and build on the success we find? Start with legislation that requires a mandatory minimum (estimated by geographic location) amount of installed solar supplied wattage for each newly constructed home in 4 years. This reduces dependency on coal/natural gas/oil, creates more jobs, expands technology and innovation, helps to power electric vehicles, and saves money.
