When the Fairness Doctrine was repealed, the news media was allowed to portray any story in any light they wanted to with little responsibility towards accuracy. The very source of information for Americans became a farce, an entertainment variety show with the sole purpose of garnering ratings. We need news that informs us of facts regardless of political bias, and we need it easy to get.
