Religion should have no place in the government. Many of the founding fathers believed, as James Madison and Thomas Jefferson wrote, that government should stay out of the business of religion. Many of us believe that religion should stay away from government.
All to much, politicians are using religious beliefs as arguments and guides as to why some issues should be allowed or banned. They allow religion to have a say, when the only thing that should matter is what is written in The Constitution.
We petition the President to work to remove religion as a voice in the United States Government and restore equality and freedom as the only voice and The Constitution as the ONLY guiding document in politics and the government.
Religion and government must remain separate!!
