We ask that the American people have a vote in where/ why defense money goes to other countries. And demand that our elected officials start representing their constituents. Especially as we stand to lose an estimated 750,000 jobs (and their associated services) due to sequestration cuts.
While our representatives continue avoiding collaborative efforts in the interest of improving domestic American challenges, US continues to send financial aid to select countries engaged in civil wars. Example: $60 million to Syria.
It is time to focus on sustaining homeland services that improve the lives of Americans and maintain existing jobs. Education, job corps, research and health care need our undivided representation and fiscal attention to maintain the infrastructure of our great country.
