Work to establish a constitutional amendment erasing the national debt and preventing deficit spending.

Created by J.R. on January 18, 2013

Congress and the President shall enact a constitutional amendment preventing deficit spending for more than three consecutive years. Part of this amendment includes a long term plan for eliminating the national debt (no more than 15 years).

The goal of this amendment is to force the government to spend within the revenue it receives. While economic forces may require some deficit spending, it should never become the long term policy of any body to continually increase the debt.
