The recent 2-1 decision by the United States Court of Appeals in D.C. to overturn the FCC's current neutrality rules threatens to do irreparable harm to not only all broadband consumers, but also companies that rely on the unfettered power of the internet to deliver their services to consumers globally.
The administration needs to support FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler in his efforts to redefine ISPs as public utilities in a way that allows the FCC to do it's job of protecting neutrality while not stifling technological progress. The natural of the internet has changed, and today it is universally viewed as a utility, not a luxury, and as a result should be treated and regulated as one. ISPs with conflicting interests cannot be expected to remain neutral, this is why we need the FCC.
