Work to Have the 2nd Amendment Changed so that Owning Firearms is Explicitly Excluded from Being a Federal Right.

Created by A.B. on December 14, 2012

How many more innocent men, women, and children have to die before we realize that firearms pose more risks than benefits to modern Americans?

Regardless of your attitude towards guns, it is clear and undeniable that the horrific shootings of the past few decades would not have occurred without easy access to firearms.

As a result of these mass shootings, we petition the Obama Administration to make a proposal to legislators to begin the Amendment process, altering the Second Amendment so that owning firearms would be explicitly excluded from being considered a federal right.

States would have the ability to decide whether or not they would impose a firearm ban, a compromise which would ensure firearms for those who want them and security for those who do not.
