This petition will be a step towards giving all Americans an equal voice in the democracy of our country. It will undue the overwhelming influence that corporate money and corporate interests have had over our politicians. Corporations have undue influence and leverage over the average citizens who do not have and cannot afford lobbyists to influence politicians, and most often write their own legislation to benifit their interests over the interests of all citizens.
Corporations are not people and money is not speech. It is imperative that we initiate campaign finance reform and have only publicly funded elections, and limit the amount of donations that can be made by any one individual, or company including their employees
