Almost two years after the attacks carried out at Ft. Hood, those who were killed or wounded in the attacks have not received the Purple Heart for what is clearly the actions of an enemy of the United States.
To those ends, Sen. John Cornyn introduced a bill (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c112:S.316.IS:) to guarantee the same rights to the casualties of the Fort Hood shooting as guaranteed to those killed or wounded in action in Iraq or Afghanistan. Introduced in the Senate in February, it has not made it out of committee.
Please work with Congressional leaders to pass this bill, and, if you are presented with it, sign it into law.
