Work to reduce the disgraceful treatment of animals raised for meat, eggs, and milk.

Urges the Obama administration to recognize the disgraceful cruelties that go on as a result of factory farming in America.
-animals such as cows, calves, pigs, geese, turkeys, ducks, fish and chickens are kept in small cages or jam-packed sheds on filthy feedlots, often with so little space that they can’t even turn around or lie down comfortably
-It is common for factory farmed animals to be genetically altered to grow faster or to produce much more milk or eggs than they naturally would
-When they have finally grown large enough, animals raised for food are crowded onto trucks and transported typically without food or water, to the slaughterhouse. Those who survive this nightmarish journey will have their throats slit, often while they are still awake
