When the Constitution was adopted firearms were primitive and inaccurate. A good shot could hit something twenty feet away with a pistol and perhaps 50 yards away with a musket. Reloading took a long time. Conditions are clearly much different today. The Second Amendment is a relic of the past that should be repealed.
