You and your administration have been pushing for many restrictions on firearms, while at the same time asking for better research into the causes of violence due to our lack of knowledge in the area.
If you feel we do not have enough research in the area, then stop wasting the country's money by attempting to make us all feel like you have done something. Step back and say you will spend the next year (maybe more?) gathering the research you yourself say we are lacking prior to making recommendations.
We ask you do the research first. Please do not fall victim to the politics you claimed to be an outsider to in 2008. Only after research will we be able to approach these issues using knowledge. You have nearly 4 years to get it right. Haste makes waste.
