work with the Senate and repeal the PATRIOT Act. The powers granted by the Act are too sweeping and violate our privacy

The Patriot Act has for too long empowered the Federal Government to disregard our Rights as Citizens. Both parties should step up to push for the dismantling of this Act, and ask President Obama to work with the Senate on its Repeal. Only through this can we maintain many of our civil liberties and become a more transparent, civil society.
