People complain regularly about the idea that Congress would never vote to amend the Constitution, as required, to impose term limits on itself. There is another way!
Article V* of the Constitution has a provision where State Legislatures can petition Congress to call a Constitutional convention to bring an amendment to the States for ratification, and this petition calls on the Obama administration to work with the States to get this done.
*"The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, ON THE APPLICATION OF THE LEGISLATURES OF TWO THIRDS OF THE SEVERAL STATES, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid...." (emphasis added). Never been done this way but WHY NOT?
