Work with states to keep armed guards out of schools.

I petition that the office of Barack H. Obama work with state governors and legislators to keep armed, uniformed guards from our elementary schools. I propose that members of administration and senior staff be deputized, issued and trained in the use of a firearm. Enact mental health evaluations and extensive background checks (to the police standard) to all qualified applicants. Minimum of five years service in the proposed location.
