The International Energy Agency just released a report [1] telling us that unless we take drastic action, there will be irreversible climate change within 5 years. And yet we still are permitting coal power plants to be constructed. The Obama Admin. has made solid moves in limiting emissions from vehicles, but can we be more aggressive about enabling generation facilities based on Nuclear, Thorium, alternative, and even Natural gas, while dismantling coal and other dirty emitters?
