With the human population overshooting the carrying capacity of the Earth, it is critical that the government immediately implement measures to encourage VOLUNTARY reproductive restraint by:
- considering elimination of the tax deduction for children.
- subsidizing birth control.
- offering cash payments for people willing to undergo long-term birth control therapies such as Norplant.
- fully funding family planning services both here and abroad.
- and pursuing any other VOLUNTARY, non-compulsory policies which will discourage large families in a ways consistent with our Constitution, and democratic values.
