The Syrian civil war has lasted for three years now and way more than 100,000 people have been killed. The government needs to respond to the senseless violence and try to bring the two sides to an agreement.
There was recently a bomb dropped on a school, killing many students. There have also been many car bombings recently. Hundreds or thousands of people are dying each month.
Unfortunately, the war has left the public eye, and the media publishes very little on it. However, if this happened in America, it would be all over international news. We are starting to ignore and forget the people dying every day and the close to 3 million people who have fled the country, and are living in poor, unsafe refugee camps.
