Work toward colonizing our galaxy or at least attempt to make something abel to travel to other solar systems.

The increased researche could potentially help create more jobs in the research department of NASA as well as give the human race a possible backup plan in case global warming ever becomeS incredibly serious or some phenomenon threatens the Earth. Studies have shown that even with "slow" interstellar travel it would be possible to colonize the Milky Way in 20-50 million years, which may seem like a lot but in relation to the age of the universe, it really isn't all that long. This would also help us possibly make contact with other intelligent life in the universe and bring us more powerful, better technology. And I personally think it would just be awesome to move to another Solar System!
