Basing the international monetary system on a carbon standard produces a triple win situation: it helps resolving the climate crisis; it advances low carbon and climate-resilient development and replaces an unjust and unsustainable, and therefore unstable international monetary system. These three major benefits would replace the monetary, financial, economic and commercial systems of a world (dis)order that enrich the few, impoverish the many and imperil the planet.
