Work towards reforming U.S. trade policies.

Created by S.B. on September 25, 2011

U.S. trade policies are extremely imbalanced. For example, our exports to China are subject to a 25% tariff by the Chinese government. In contrast, Chinese imports are subject to a minuscule 2.5% tariff by the U.S. government.

This fact, in conjunction with the China's currency manipulation , and labor practices that either teeter on, or outright violate basic human rights, create a rigged trade environment in which U.S. workers have no chance of competing in.

Please ignore the rhetoric about protectionism, and direct the Department of Commerce to match U.S. tariffs for imported goods and services to tariffs imposed on our goods and services by other countries. Or alternatively, insist that other countries simply match their tariffs to ours.
