worker harder to get the 99 weeks of unemployment benefits for those over 50 who have been unemployed for more that 6 mo

Created by B.C. on February 17, 2012

Let's get the Congress to pass the funding for the unemployment extensions for people over the age of 50 back to the 99 weeks. There is definite age discrimination in the workplace and studies have shown that it takes baby boomers much longer to find "real" jobs.

Passing the payroll tax only helps those who are working. The people who are looking for work are in much more dire need because once the unemployment ends, so does the safety net. Write to all the politicians to help the baby boomers who want and need to work, by giving them the the time those who came before us received for find comparable employment NOW.
