The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is an excellent program assisting adults in re-training for new jobs. However, it requires full time college enrollment, which for a middle age adult is challenging enough, but then to have to work full time as well is almost impossible.
Please petition congress to extend unemployment benefits to those who are actively participating in WIA so that they may stay enrolled in college, finish their degree and get a meaningful job.
