The Worst Airplane Crash in the History of the U.S. 8 Nov 1961 74 Army soldiers killed. Honor, Recognize and Remember.

These soldiers were en route to The U.S. Army Training Center-Fort Jackson for training, when the unthinkable occurred.
Imperial Airline Flight 201/8 crashed while attempting an emergency landing at Byrd Field, Charles County, VA. All on board were killed with the exception of two flight crew.
It begin to experience major catastrophic mechanical and safety failures immediately after take off and our Big Brother, Michael McAllister, was among those killed.
The crash of Imperial Airline Flight 201/8 took the lives of 74 Sons, Brothers, Husbands, Dads and Soldiers along with 3 flight crew; but also resulted in major, significant and positive changes within the airline industry of 1961 which remain in place today.
53 years later our 74 Fallen Heroes live on in our hearts and spirit.
