Would it be possible to request that celebrities sponsor a school district or school in a district and rotate yearly?

Getting celebrities to sponsor school districts would be a way to stop the closing of certain programs such as the Arts. They could either give funds to the districts or have a yearly rotation within that district between schools. They could use it as a way to give back to communities, as well as starting a cycle in which citizens begin to support the education system. Consider if an actor were to donate a portion of their earnings from a movie, or if they opted for this program, the money that would normally be taken in taxes could go directly to the schools or district under their sponsorship. It would be a viable option which would lead more funds going through schools, thus raising the level or quality of education offered in our country.
