Write and Pass a Bill Stopping Demonstrations at Funerals

Created by E.H. on December 19, 2012

We each have loved ones we have buried and we have a right, or should have a right, to mourn their passing in peace. For Demonstrators to disrupt that peace is very disrespectful and could be called inhuman.

This refers to the demonstrations put on by the members of the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), but could also go beyond their actions to anyone who wishes to copy them. WBC has demonstrated at the funerals of our soldiers, and now plans to demonstrate at the funerals of those lost in the Sandy Hook shooting (including those of the 20 children)

Why do they have the right to demonstrate at a funeral while those who are burying their loved ones have to suffer through it?

I urge the Obama administration to help stop demonstrations at ALL funerals throughout the country.
