Currently all federal workers, including elected officials and employees working for federal agencies, and not limited to U.S Postal workers, Supreme Court justices, federal courts, appointees, and all employees working in the Cabinet of the President of the United States earn their retirement benefits through Civil Service, rather than participating in the retirement program under the Social Security Adminstration [SSA] Act that the rest of Americans are forced to contribute to, via payroll deductions. Ending Civil Service as it operates today, and bringing all federal workers and elected officials into SSA will substantially reinforce the likelihood of a viable retirement program for all Americans well beyond the date of expected insolvency.
