Write federal legislation that mandates employers to give all employees PAID SICK DAYS.

According to the AFL-CIO there are only 5 states in the U.S that currently have legislation requiring paid sick days for all employees, with few stipulations. Sadly enough for our "United States" employees who are not afforded Paid Sick Days must choose between working sick, prolonging & spreading illness, losing pay, or losing their job. These are unacceptable options for "Human" Resources. Legislate paid sick days for workers who should be afforded paid time off to care for themselves during times of illness. To quote Gov. Peter Shumlin; his "legislation puts an end to an era where some Vermonters were faced with the decision of going to work sick or potentially losing their job….We’re proud that Vermont will become the fifth state to guarantee this important protection to its citizens”.
