We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Yes to Animal Preserves and Sanctuaries, No to Zoos. Make it illegal to keep wild animals in captivity.

Created by L.B. on June 02, 2016

When looking at the broad perspective of the Earth's eco-system, humanity's impact has been remarkable. Animals across the world, whether on land or in the oceans, are constantly being affected by the 7.5 billion of us . America is already a promoter of animal rights across the world. The work of the National Park Service and National Wildlife Refuge System are invaluable and should be expanded and equipped with interactive technology. Zoos, instead, should be closed. No matter how pretty they may appear to the human eye, they are but a prison to the wild animal. Most zookeepers are great people and treat these animals even better than their own children. Nevertheless the moral point is that humans don't own these animals and we shouldn't keep them in cages or swimming pools.Shut down Zoos
