The Obama Administration rejected the previous petitions for marijuana legalization. The fact is, alcohol, when abused, is the most destructive substance and it IS legal.Their response was generic and contradictory.The Goverment works for the people, and an overwhelming number of Americans want marijuana legalized for a variety of reasons including medical, recreational, creating jobs, creating tax revenue, recreating the hemp industry-used for anything from clothing to rope, which was hugely successful in it's time.This could create hundreds of thousands of American jobs and the Government would make very large profits by taxing. It's time for President Obama to listen to WE THE PEOPLE. Our founder George Washington was wise enough to know the potential of cannabis and encouraged it.
