Young African American Male , Government employee, and family of 5 discriminated against purchasing home in Alabama

I work for the state of Alabama and have a wife and 3 children however I have been trying to buy a home because we need the space , I am currently living in a rented 2 bedroom apartment and when I ask realty companies and realtors for assistance they tell me I have bad credit and refuse to help , I make great income and I am working on my credit , but I truly feel discriminated against due to my race and wish to be given the same opportunity to provide a house for my wife and small children the same way my Caucasian counterparts does
